THE HIVE- final draft

THE HIVE:
A residential complex for members of the fast paced, high-tech x-y generation.

Below are images used in my final presentation of the Hipster Haven project. I really enjoyed working on this project, and I feel that my images convey that. My post-critique critique of my own project lead me to think about things I would do differently if I had the chance to redo this project. I would love input from others to help me grow as a designer. Having said that, scroll down, and I hope that you enjoy THE HIVE.

Very Swank indeed Katie. Love it. I would be more than happy to live there. Like the way you rendered these. Nice lighting. Congratulations on finally being done. Talk to you later.

Katie, these renders look great! I have to ask, did you do them in Maya or 3d-max? Looking at where you started with your April prototypes to May's finish products, I have to admit I'm pleasantly surprised at how technically sufficient and capable you've become. It's very impressive, Katie! Anyway, hope all is well and I look forward to seeing where you'll be going in the future. Stay in touchzorz.

Hi Katie, I do indeed like the new look of the site. I think its nice and clean and gets right to the posts. What kind of font are you using? I Like the color palette.

Thanks so much Ashby! The font is Georgia, and I'm glad that you like the color palette. I couldn't decide if the orange was too bright or trendy, but in the end it won. Thanks for your input!

Your blog looks very clean and proffesional, I particularly like the choice of fonts, the all lower case name, and the circle and line insigna in your header block. The title is good, and the blog as a whole is a good presentation to your work, my only concern is that the single column with with just the centered picture, text, picture, text makes the layout a little monotonous, which makes it hard to keep track of where I am among your posts. Your header/fonts/and insignia give the blog personality, but the solid column layout starts to wash that out as one scrolls down. Would a change of rhythm within the column (aligning a comment, link or picture to some side) help?

Katie, your blog is so professional and clean looking! Its hard to critique it. The only thing I would say to do is maybe put an "about me" section in there so people know who is talking to them. Good job, though!

Clean and Precise! I understand your blog and appreciate your organization of thoughts. This is great where it is heading. Add more personality in your posts. Along with your about me!

Very clean and professional, but lacking in the personality department. I would love to learn more about you! Great work.

hi! very crisp, clean and professional. perhaps a little more text/descriptions of your work and inspirations. i know it takes more time to do ( i have to do more as well), but it makes images much more interesting to the reader. tells a little about 'you'.
